01Introduction
Guizar Honey Bees LLC is a family-run commercial beekeeping and pollination business based in Mesa, Washington. We provide pollination services to growers and sell raw honey produced in the Columbia Basin.
This policy explains what information we collect through our website at guizarhoney.com, through direct contact with us, and through our employee messaging program — and how we use, share, and protect it. It applies to customers, growers, employees, job applicants, and anyone else who contacts us.
02Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the business. That includes:
- Contact information you give us voluntarily — your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address. You might provide this through a form on our website, by calling or emailing us directly, when ordering honey, when arranging pollination services, or when applying for or accepting employment with us.
- Basic website analytics — standard, aggregate information about how people use our site, such as pages visited, approximate region, and the type of device or browser used. We use this to understand whether the site is working and useful. It is not used to identify you personally.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers through web forms.
03How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to questions, quote requests, and other inquiries;
- Fulfill honey orders and arrange delivery or pickup;
- Set up and manage pollination contracts, including scheduling hive placement and removal;
- Communicate with our employees about field operations — where crews are working, hive moves, safety, and daily scheduling;
- Keep required business, tax, and employment records;
- Maintain and improve our website.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing text messages.
04SMS and text messaging
Guizar Honey Bees LLC operates an SMS messaging program for internal field operations with its employees. Employees send text reports on hive movements, hive counts, yard conditions, and equipment needs from remote apiary locations. The system sends confirmations of logged entries, requests clarification when a report is ambiguous, and sends messages about work assignments, scheduling, and safety information.
Participation is voluntary and is not a condition of employment. Employees consent by signing a separate written acknowledgment during onboarding. Employees who do not participate, or who opt out, may report field activity by paper log instead.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging platform providers, is permitted only to the extent necessary to operate the messaging service. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Additional terms of the program:
- Message frequency varies depending on field activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Participants may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
05How we share information
We do not sell personal information.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We share information only in limited circumstances: with service providers who help us operate the business — for example a messaging platform, an email provider, or an accountant — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of our crew.
06Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as we need it for business and legal purposes — for example, the life of a pollination contract plus the record-retention period required for tax and employment law — and then dispose of it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you if a breach affects your information and the law requires notice.
07Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it when we are not required to keep it. Email francisco@guizarhoney.com or call 509-318-0850 and tell us what you need. We may need to verify who you are before we act on the request.
To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message from us. You can also ask us directly to remove your number. To stop receiving email from us, reply and ask, and we will remove you.
08Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
